Kate Jackson Biography
Kate Jackson was born to Hogan and Ruth Jackson on 10-29-48 in Birmingham, Alabama. The first series Kate ever worked on was Dark Shadows. This was followed by her role as Jill Danko in the Rookies. Kate was 23 years old when she started this role.
After The Rookies, Kate starred in Charlie’s Angels where she played Sabrina Duncan. She left C.A. after three years because producers would not let her take time off to do the movie Kramer vrs. Kramer. Merryl Streep ended up with the lead female role. After Charlie’s Angels she moved on to the show that we dearly love - Scarecrow and Mrs. King.
At the end of Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Kate Jackson had to have a lumpectomy to remove cancerous cells in her breast. In 1989 the cancer returned and she had to have a partial mastectomy. Since her ordeal, Kate has shared her experience with other women to educate them about the importance of mammograms and cancer prevention.
